HCMC Trip (Final Chapter)

Time to rush on the final chapter of my HCMC trip before my next trip!

Day 4

It's time to visit the famous Delta we learned in Geography class during our secondary school. Delta Mekong. Early morning we just grab simple breakfast before heading to The Sinh Tourist.

After a short wait, we hopped on the bus with the other tourists and started our journey to the great delta! It took us quite a while to arrive in destination. Along the way, we were able to enjoy the view of Saigon city as well as the nature when we moving closer to the outskirt area.

We were arrived in a plantation or orchard (I can't be too sure). The locals were selling handcraft products such as hat, chopsticks, bookmarks and more. To look like a local, we bought two hats before boarded the boat.

Time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and posing like a model!

SAY CHEESE!!

We also get to visit the orchard, the making of 'bekannt' rice paper and coconut sweets, production of honey and tasted the rice liquor. There was also 'snake liquor' available but I was too timid to try those. An ABC tried that, really admired his bravery. Bravo!!!

The making of delicious coconut sweets!

Besides that, the package included a horse cart riding and a local music performance served with fruits as well! After the performance (quite interesting but too bad I couldn't understand a thing), we headed back to our engine operated boat with a smaller hand rowing boat.

The lunch served by the agency

The fruits are fresh and tasty!

First try on hand rowing boat! ✓

It was hot but we gave our best smiles!

Our pretty photographer! 😘

The package including lunch as well and it costed each person just 40 bucks!! The trip was definitely worth the price!

Half day trip to Delta Mekong was not too tiring instead it was fun and kinds of learning while traveling. Back in city around 4pm, our stomach knocking our abdomen for food. Again we took Grabcar to the famous Banh Mi- Hyunh Hoa. Luckily the queue was still short and we immediately queue up for our high tea. The workers preparing the Banh Mi were fast and efficient. There were a few types of meat and ingredients but none of us knew what were those stuffs to be exact. The most important thing is the Banh Mi tasted yummy!!

Famous Banh Mi

Since it was the last night for us in HCMC, we decided to visit the Eon Heli Bar which located at the top of one of the sky scrapper in city. Just for the night view. =)

Before the drinks in bar, we filled our stomach with food to prevent from getting drunk. (Really? Not too sure) >.< We had our dinner in Royal Saigon Restaurant located at backpacker street. At the restaurant, we met 2 Germans and a local who able to speak fluent German. I was excited but afraid at the same time as I only able to listen and understand but not speaking. Not just yet. The talk was rather short since we were rushing to the next destination.

Eon Heli Bar was not pack at all as we were visiting during weekday. There we enjoy the night scenery of the city and also the special alcoholic drinks.

Our drunk-able drinks for the celebration of the night!

The night is still young!

Let me take a selfie~ 😋

We called it a day with another 3 bottles strongbow. XD

Night before we leave the place with cheap liquors!

The alcohols there were so damn cheap! I felt like it's a sin if I didn't drink on the last night! 😂😂

Day 5

The next morning, we went out for a short exploration after packing up.
We had our breakfast in a cafe named L'usine. The name and decoration of the cafe gave us the feeling that we were crossing through a time gate which brought us to France. XD

Das Essen schmeckt uns sehr!

Something western =)

After the stomach and soul filling breakfast, we walk toward the landmark of HCMC. The museum.
Ho Chi Minh City Museum

The bright sun forced us to shut our eyes.

After the lunch at Trung Yen Cafe, we booked a Grabcar and heading to the airport.

Last meal before leaving Vietnam!

Our Quatro travel was rather short this time compared to the previous Korea trip.
Yet we are happy and satisfied with the food, attractions, transportation and the travel companions which matter most!!

Looking forward for upcoming + endless trips with you girls!

* A lot of people told me the place was jeopardous. Worse still, the food was awful. My experience told me the total opposite of the story.
